PRIVACY

Privacy notice

This notice applies to the current version of Get The Total, operated by Yakushev Dmytro. The site does not require an account or ask you to submit calculator figures.

What the calculator does now

Amounts entered into the VAT, mortgage and car-import calculators are processed in your browser to show a result. The calculators do not send those amounts to Get The Total.

Optional calculation history

Only if you select “Enable history”, up to eight recent results are stored in your browser’s local storage on that device. They are not sent to us. You can clear them from the Recent calculations panel or through browser settings.

Contact emails

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond, correct the site, handle privacy requests, prevent abuse and keep necessary records. Our legal bases are our legitimate interests in operating and improving the site, taking steps at your request, and complying with legal obligations where applicable.

Service providers and international transfers

Incoming mail to contact@getthetotal.com is routed by Forward Email to a Google Gmail mailbox. These providers may process message data in countries outside the UK or European Economic Area under their own privacy terms and applicable transfer safeguards. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

Retention and your rights

We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, security, dispute or legal-record requirements, then delete it when no longer required. Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing, and may complain to your local data-protection authority.

No advertising or analytics yet

The current version does not include advertising scripts, analytics, tracking pixels, quote forms, accounts, or affiliate tracking. These must not be added until this notice, the cookies notice, and any necessary consent process have been updated.

Contact and changes

For privacy questions or requests, email contact@getthetotal.com. We will review this notice whenever the site’s data use changes. Last updated: 5 September 2026. Please also read the cookies and device storage notice.
